Ask a Mongolian child what they remember first and the answer is often a horse. Not a toy one. Children on the steppe ride before they write; some families joke that the pony is the babysitter.
The horse built this country. It carried the largest land empire in history, and it still carries the everyday: the herder checking the far pasture, the racer at Naadam who is eight years old and entirely unbothered about it, the eagle hunter in Bayan-Ulgii with a golden eagle on one arm and the reins in the other hand.
When we drew the WANLI emblem, we did not go looking for a symbol. We drew what was already there: a rider at full gallop, low over the horse's neck, going somewhere with intent.
That is why the emblem is woven into the poncho, stamped on the saddle, and knitted small into the capsule polo. And it is why the Equestrian line exists at all: the saddle, the felt pad and the rider's gloves are the first pieces of the craft this culture has practised longest. The full line rides in 2027, with the WANLI saddle bag leading it.
A brand from Mongolia that did not ride would not be from Mongolia.
