Two thousand years before Mongolia had its name, the Hunnu cast bronze mirrors with radiating suns. This carpet carries that sun as a small red medallion, quilted into dense hand-felted Mongolian sheep wool, ivory white, edged in a single narrow oxblood felt border, the way gers have been floored for a thousand winters. Ninety by one hundred fifty centimetres of quiet, collectible craft. Each piece is felted and stitched by hand and no two are identical. Made in Mongolia.
